The 12th annual Mining Expo & Conference, held from 5–7 August, 2025 at the Windhoek Showgrounds, once again cemented its place as Namibia’s largest commercial exhibition. Organised by the Chamber of Mines of Namibia, the event expanded to a three-day format, allowing for greater engagement, exposure, and networking opportunities.

Despite a slight dip in exhibitor numbers due to unforeseen absences, booth uptake increased by 5.1%, with 329 booths fully booked. The conference also saw a rise in attendance, with 994 registered participants, reflecting continued interest in the sector’s growth and transformation.

Exhibitors and stakeholders praised the extended format, increased setup times, and the professionalism of the Chamber team, particularly the exceptional coordination by Ms. Loide Armas. The Supplier’s Platform and dedicated B2B meeting rooms facilitated impactful business interactions, while the exhibitor’s cocktail event provided a safe and enjoyable networking environment.

The success of the event was further bolstered by the generous support of Rand Merchant Bank (RMB), whose multi-year sponsorship enabled enhancements to the Chamber’s digital platforms and conference infrastructure. Additional in-kind support from Rent-A-Drum, ThreeSixty Emergency Services, and Office-Economix helped elevate the overall quality of the event.

Looking ahead, the Chamber of Mines is pleased to announce that the 2026 Mining Expo & Conference will take place from 4–6 August 2026 at the Windhoek Showgrounds. Stakeholders are encouraged to mark their calendars for another milestone event in Namibia’s mining calendar.
