Namibia continues to gain global recognition for its premium marble, granite, and sodalite, exported to Europe, Asia, and the Americas for use in tiles, countertops, and architectural finishes. The country’s dimension stone is particularly renowned for its high-quality marble and granite, including the sought-after “Namibia White” and “White Rhino” varieties.
Key producers operate multiple quarries and processing plants, primarily in the Erongo Region and around Karibib, which is home to Namibia’s main marble and granite deposits. At present, Namibia has several marble and granite quarries, supplying blocks for both domestic processing and international export.
New projects are expanding production capacity, while government initiatives support small-scale quarrying, local value addition, and beneficiation across the sector. These developments are reinforcing Namibia’s reputation as a global supplier of high-quality dimension stone.
