Inter-Mine Sports Games

Inter-Mine Sports Games

The Inter-Mine Sports Games are a long-standing and respected initiative within Namibia’s mining industry, coordinated through the Chamber of Mines of Namibia. With a proud legacy spanning several decades, the Games have traditionally served as a platform for unity, wellness and positive engagement among industry employees.

Originally a highlight on the mining calendar, the Inter-Mine Sports Games were temporarily discontinued during periods of financial pressure experienced across the sector. Through renewed collective effort, the Games were successfully reintroduced and have since regained their place as a meaningful industry-driven activity.

At their core, the Inter-Mine Sports Games reflect the Chamber’s commitment to fostering collaboration, healthy competition and camaraderie beyond operational and commercial activities. The event brings together employees from across mining operations, contractors and industry institutions in a spirit of teamwork and shared purpose.
