Chamber President's Report for 2021
At the AGM held on 27 April 2022, Mr. Hilifa Mbako, President of the Chamber of Mines, delivered his first President’s Report for 2021.
The report highlights how the sector has grown in 2021 amid the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, the Chamber’s engagements and activities and some of the various policy and regulatory matters which are still outstanding.

Announcement of Office Bearers 2022 – 2023
It was re-affirmed at the AGM (27 April 2022) that the Chamber’s current EXCO leadership will remain for the 2022 – 2023 period, who will continue serving in their elected roles as per Chamber Constitution until the end of their terms at the next AGM in 2023. The Chamber announced and congratulated the Office Bearers who will be serving on the Chamber of Mines Executive Committee from 2022 to 2023 as follows:
- President: Mr. Hilifa Mbako, Executive Chairperson of Orano Mining Namiba
- 1st Vice President: Mr. Irvinne Simataa, Vice President, Mining Operations, Swakop Uranium Namibia
- 2nd Vice President: Mr. Zebra Kasete, Vice President and Managing Director, Dundee Precious Metals Tsumeb.
