Approaching its 25-year anniversary, Heat Exchange Products (Pty) Ltd proudly announces the launch of its renewed purpose – “Engineering Africa’s Water for Life” – through the introduction of its new “HEPWater” logo. This strategic step not only marks a visual transformation but also signifies a deeper alignment between Heat Exchange Products’ vision, mission, and dedication to shaping the future of water engineering across Namibia and beyond.
Founded in 1998, Heat Exchange Products (“HEPWater”) initially specialised in heat transfer applications. Recognizing the need to address water quality challenges, the company diversified its expertise into providing effective water management solutions to various sectors of Namibia. Over time, HEPWater grew with the integration of entities such as Valco Pipes cc in 2019 and Aqua Mechanica (formerly Continental Spares) in 2021. The company currently employs approximately 40 employees and operates from both Windhoek and Walvis Bay.
In 2018, the majority shareholding of HEPWater was acquired by the Allegrow Fund, which is managed by Eos Capital. HEPWater is therefore 100% Namibian-owned and obtained ISO 9001 accreditation in 2011 for its Quality Management System. The company’s multi-skilled teams draw upon a wealth of international and local expertise. Their offering to the mining sector includes:
- Chemical supply and application (bulk commodity chemicals, coagulants, flocculants, antiscalants, flotation reagents, resin, and water treatment chemicals)
- Equipment supply (water disinfection systems, chemical dosing pumps & makeup stations, softeners, filters, RO units, engines, piping, and water meters)
- Turnkey solutions (potable water, industrial water and wastewater treatment plants including design and project management, and heat transfer solutions)
- Services (water quality analysis & monitoring, water & wastewater treatment plant monitoring, optimisation, operation & maintenance, and tank desludging)
The logo itself provides a visual representation of HEPWater’s core strengths and its commitment to solving water challenges. The new logo design incorporates these symbolic elements:
- The water elements symbolise life, sustainability, and the company’s dedication to making a positive impact on the environment, community and economy.
- The gear symbolises innovation, efficiency, and the engineering capabilities of the HEPWater team.
- The water droplet within HEPWater is grey to represent the various water types that the company treats – potable, industrial and wastewater – along with the diverse industries it supports, including but not limited to mining, water utilities, food & beverage, oil & gas, and green hydrogen.
Retaining its recognisable red and dark blue colour scheme, HEPWater’s new logo emphasises the company’s reliability, consistent service, and high-quality products.
Aligned with its mission, HEPWater remains committed to solving water challenges in an efficient, economical, and sustainable manner. With a 25-year legacy, the company is dedicated to shaping the future of water solutions across Africa.
