REPTILE MINERAL RESOURCE AND EXPLORATION BOOSTS LEARNING WITH TEXTBOOKS AND EQUIPMENT DONATION

Deep Yellow Limited, in collaboration with its subsidiary, Reptile Mineral Resources and Exploration (Pty) Ltd (RMR), has donated textbooks and educational equipment to schools in Walvis Bay to make sure every student has access to the tools they need to succeed.

Ms T Goagoses, the Inspector of Education for the Walvis Bay Circuit, identified a need for textbooks at Narraville Primary School, especially for Grade 9 students. RMR jumped into action, providing 21 textbooks for each subject, covering English, Geography, Physical Science, Life Science, Agricultural Science, History, Maths, Accounting, and Entrepreneurship. But that’s not all – the company also donated a projector and mobile screen to help bring lessons to life.

Dr Katrin Kärner, Exploration Manager, highlighted the importance of collaboration with the Directorate to meet educational needs, saying, “May these textbooks serve as valuable resources, igniting curiosity and fueling the thirst for knowledge among students. Together, let’s continue to invest in the future generation’s education and empower them to reach their full potential.”

The total value of the donation comes to approximately N$42,070.26 – a significant investment in the future of these students.

The handover ceremony at Narravile Secondary School was attended by RMR representatives, the School Board, staff and learners. Ms Goagoses expressed her gratitude for the new resources, noting the positive impact they’ll have on all learners.M

“We sincerely appreciate the generous donation and support from RMR,” she said. “The textbooks will enhance the learning experience, while the projector and screen will contribute to creating a more stimulating and inclusive learning environment, ultimately benefiting both students and teachers.”

RMR is committed to improving educational opportunities in Namibia and is always on the lookout for new ways to make a positive impact on the community. This donation is just one of many initiatives in its undertaking to achieve this goal.
