Elspe Mining (Pty) Ltd mines high-quality gypsum in the Namib Naukluft Park in the Erongo Region. As part of the company’s Social Responsibility Programme, a portion of its profit is reinvested into the community.
Recently, Mr. Günther Kahl, on behalf of Elspe Mining (Pty) Ltd, handed over technical training equipment valued at more than N$40,000 to NIMT in Arandis. The equipment will be utilised in the NIMT Electrical Department to train and educate young Namibians.

Mr. Günther Kahl officially handed over the donation to Mr. RST Erkana, Acting Principal of the NIMT Engineering Trades Campus.
Mr. Kahl noted that it is a privilege for the Kahl Group to be associated with NIMT, where a high standard of training is provided and excellent discipline is maintained at all times.
Mr. Ralph Bussel, Executive Director of NIMT, expressed his sincere appreciation to Mr. Kahl for selecting NIMT as the beneficiary of such a generous donation. He explained that the value of the donation goes far beyond its monetary worth. The additional equipment will enable NIMT to increase the number of trainees in the Electrical Department, giving more young Namibians an opportunity to brighten their future.
Mr. Bussel further emphasised that Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) is extremely costly and requires private sector support to ensure that NIMT continues delivering high-quality training and education. He noted that quality TVET remains the cornerstone of a strong and sustainable economy.
