The school was identified as one of the beneficiaries by employees from the sporting team that was crowned overall winners during the mine’s Inter-Departmental Games, an internal social sporting tournament held in September 2025. The overall winners walked away with a monetary prize of N$20 000.

As part of their community outreach initiative, the employees chose to share their winnings with worthy causes in the Erongo Region.

Ann’s Angels Soup Kitchenin Swakopmund was the second beneficiary of this initiative. At the soup kitchen, employees purchased a deep freezer and various food items. They personally handed over the donation and spent the day preparing meals, feeding more than 200 children.

The initiative reflects the strong spirit of teamwork, generosity and social responsibility demonstrated by Rössing Uranium employees, both inside and outside the workplace.
