Building Skills for Namibia’s Future: Elspe Mining Supports NIMT

As part of its ongoing commitment to education and community development, Elspe Mining (Pty) Ltd has once again invested in the future of Namibia’s technical workforce through the donation of specialised training equipment to the Namibia Institute of Mining and Technology (NIMT).

The handover ceremony took place at the Elspe Mining office in Swakopmund, where CEO G. Kahl officially presented the donation to Acting Principal RST Erkana on behalf of the institute.

The equipment, valued at more than N$ 40,000.00, includes a variety of professional electrical and engineering tools that will enhance practical training opportunities for trainees preparing for career in Namibia’s industrial and mining sectors.

Speaking during the handover, Günther Kahl said Elspe Mining believesthat investing in technical education is an investment in Namibia’s future.

“The mining industry depends on skilled, competent artisans. By
supporting institutions such as NIMT, we are helping to equip young
Namibians with the practical skills needed to build successful
careers while strengthening the industries that drive our country’s
economy.”

Receiving the donation on behalf of NIMT, Acting Principal RST Erkana expressed sincere appreciation for the continued support from Elspe.

“Every additional piece of equipment expands the opportunities
available to our trainees. Partnerships with industry ensure that
our trainees gain practical experience using quality equipment,
helping them transition confidently into the workplace.”
