Namdeb’s Corporate Affairs and Social Impact (CaSi) team is a newly formed department under the leadership of Pauline Thomas. It is made up of the Communications, Branding, Positive Legacy, Social Impact and Building Forever (Sustainability) team members.
With the continued focus on doing the right things today for a better tomorrow, the CaSi team recently visited B2Gold Otjikoto Mine from 1st – 2nd November 2021. Given the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, the visit was made possible by the fact that all the Namdeb CaSi team members have been vaccinated. The main objectives of the visit, under the theme of Stronger Together, were centered around:
- Learning and sharing with B2Gold counterparts.
- Exploring collaboration opportunities and investment opportunities with potential long-term impact.
- Building trust relationships.
The visit was insightful and will go a long way in ensuring continued relationships between the two mines. The Namdeb CaSi team is thankful and acknowledges B2Gold for hosting and ensuring a meaningful visit.
