The countdown has begun for the 12th Navachab Half Marathon, which will take place on Saturday, 19 September 2026, at the Usab Sports Field in Karibib.
Hosted by QKR Namibia Navachab Gold Mine, this year’s event promises an exciting day of competition, fitness and community spirit, with runners from across Namibia expected to participate.
A race for everyone
Participants can choose from three race categories, making the event accessible to elite athletes, recreational runners and families alike.
- 21.1km Half Marathon
- 10km Challenge
- 5km Fun Run/Walk
Whether competing for a podium finish or simply enjoying an active day outdoors, participants of all ages and abilities are encouraged to take part.
Substantial prize money on offer
One of the highlights of this year’s event is the impressive prize pool available across multiple competition categories.
- Senior Men’s Open (21.1km): N$30,000
- Senior Women’s Open (21.1km): N$30,000
- Junior Men: N$10,000
- Junior Women: N$10,000
- Veterans (40–49 years): N$7,000
- Masters (50–59 years): N$5,000
- Grand Masters (60 years and above): N$3,000
- First male Navachab employee: N$2,000
- First female Navachab employee: N$2,000
- 5km Fun Run/Walk winners: N$1,000 each
In addition to the first-place prizes, competitors finishing in other podium and qualifying positions across the various categories will also receive cash prizes in accordance with the official prize structure.
