Positioning Namibia as an Emerging Critical Minerals Hub

Every generation has its defining industries. For the next generation, critical minerals will help shape the world’s economic future, and Namibia is increasingly well positioned to contribute to that supply chain.

Across the rugged landscapes of the Erongo Region, where Namibia’s mining heritage has been built over generations, a new chapter is unfolding. At the historic Uis Mine, Andrada Mining is demonstrating how a legacy operation can be transformed into a modern critical minerals business that supports both Namibia’s economic ambitions and the global transition to a low-carbon future.

Over the past year, the company has achieved significant operational, technical and strategic milestones, reinforcing its position as a leading producer of critical minerals while strengthening Namibia’s reputation as one of Africa’s most attractive mining jurisdictions.

From Tin Producer to Critical Minerals Company

While Uis has long been recognised for its rich tin deposits, Andrada’s vision extends far beyond a single commodity.

The company is steadily developing a polymetallic portfolio centred on tin, lithium, tantalum, copper and tungsten—minerals that are increasingly essential for renewable energy technologies, battery storage, electronics and advanced manufacturing.

This evolution reflects a broader shift across the global mining industry. As demand grows for responsibly sourced critical minerals, companies are increasingly unlocking value from polymetallic deposits capable of supplying multiple commodities from a single operation.

At Uis, Andrada is capitalising on this opportunity, creating a platform for long-term growth while supporting global supply chains for the minerals that will power tomorrow’s economy.

Unlocking the Potential of Lithium Ridge

One of the company’s most significant developments has been the continued advancement of the Lithium Ridge Project in partnership with SQM, one of the world’s leading lithium producers.

Exploration undertaken through the partnership has expanded Andrada’s understanding of the deposit and confirmed encouraging spodumene-bearing lithium mineralisation.

Importantly, Lithium Ridge forms part of a broader mineral system containing several valuable commodities, creating opportunities to optimise future project economics through integrated resource development.

As global demand for battery materials continues to accelerate, Lithium Ridge represents a strategically important lithium opportunity for Namibia, supported by a partner with extensive technical expertise and international market experience.

Advancing Brandberg West

Beyond Uis and Lithium Ridge, Andrada has also made significant progress at Brandberg West, a historic polymetallic mining area with known tungsten, tin and copper mineralisation.

In January 2026, the company secured a staged earn-in partnership of up to US$51 million with ACAM LP through its affiliate, BWCAM Limited.

The partnership provides funding to accelerate exploration, metallurgical testwork and feasibility activities, while allowing Andrada to retain operational control of the project.

Initial ore-sorting testwork on historical waste and previously mined material has delivered encouraging results, demonstrating strong grade uplift and recoveries for tungsten, tin and copper.

These results further strengthen the development case for Brandberg West while introducing a strategic tungsten opportunity into Andrada’s expanding critical minerals portfolio.

Supporting the Global Energy Transition

As the world accelerates investment in cleaner energy systems, digital infrastructure and advanced manufacturing, demand for responsibly sourced critical minerals is expected to continue growing.

Namibia is well positioned to participate in this opportunity, supported by its long-established mining heritage, stable operating environment and increasingly important role within global critical minerals supply chains.

Creating Shared Value

Mining’s greatest contribution extends well beyond the minerals it produces.

Employment opportunities, skills development, infrastructure investment and support for local businesses all contribute to stronger regional economies and more resilient communities.

Throughout the past year, Andrada has continued investing in local capacity while strengthening relationships with stakeholders across its operational footprint.

This reflects a broader commitment to ensuring that mining delivers lasting benefits for the communities that support it.

Responsible resource development creates value not only for shareholders, but also for employees, local enterprises and future generations.

Looking Ahead

The outlook for Andrada Mining is both ambitious and encouraging.

With continued optimisation of the Uis operation and the ongoing advancement of Lithium Ridge and Brandberg West, the company is well positioned to capitalise on increasing global demand for responsibly sourced critical minerals.

For Namibia, this represents far more than corporate success. It demonstrates the country’s growing importance within international critical minerals supply chains and highlights the opportunities created by a stable regulatory environment, strong governance and a commitment to responsible mining.

The achievements of the past year illustrate how strategic investment, innovation and sustainable development can transform a historic mining operation into a modern critical minerals business with global significance.

As the world accelerates towards cleaner energy systems and advanced technologies, demand for critical minerals will continue to grow. Namibia is well positioned to help meet that demand, and Andrada Mining is playing an important role in shaping that future.

In many respects, Andrada’s story mirrors Namibia’s own: grounded in a proud mining heritage, driven by innovation and looking confidently towards a future where the country’s mineral wealth continues to create lasting value for its people and for the world.
