The report reflects the mine’s commitment to responsible mining and sustainable value creation while advancing Namibia’s socio-economic development.
Rössing Uranium Managing Director Johan Coetzee said the 2025 results demonstrate the company’s resilience, operational excellence and long-term commitment to responsible uranium production.
“Our 2025 performance reflects the dedication of our employees, contractors and stakeholders who continue to drive operational excellence while maintaining a strong focus on safety, sustainability and community development. Rössing generated turnover of N$8.221 billion and recorded a profit of N$1.022 billion during 2025.

Safety remained a top priority throughout the year, with the company recording substantial improvements in key safety indicators.
Total injuries decreased by 35.3 percent, from 17 incidents in 2024 to 11 in 2025, while the All-Injury Frequency Rate improved by 41.5 percent.

Investing in People and Skills Development
Rössing Uranium continued to invest in workforce development and future talent.
During 2025, the company spent N$27.5 million on training and skills development initiatives. More than 831 employees participated in training programmes, while support was provided to graduates, bursary students and interns through various development initiatives aimed at building Namibia’s future skills base.
“Labour relations remained stable throughout the year, with no disputes declared and constructive engagement maintained through established internal processes.”
Supporting Communities and Shared Prosperity
Community development remained a central pillar of Rössing’s sustainability strategy.
The company invested more than N$46 million in community development initiatives, of which N$36 million was allocated to the Rössing Foundation.
Environmental Stewardship
Coetzee noted that, while the mine footprint expanded due to Phase 4 mining activities, tailings storage expansion and exploration work, environmental impacts were carefully managed through optimisation measures, responsible land-use practices and stringent dust-control programmes.
Looking Ahead
As Rössing Uranium celebrates its fifth decade of operation, the company continues to focus on extending mine life, advancing exploration opportunities, strengthening operational performance and delivering sustainable value for Namibia.
