Tumas Activities Report for the Quarter Ended 31 March 2026

Uranium project developer Deep Yellow Limited continued to make significant progress on the development of its flagship Tumas Project during the first quarter of 2026, achieving several key milestones as the project moves closer to full construction readiness.

The Tumas Project, located in Namibia’s Erongo Region, remains one of the country’s most significant emerging uranium developments and is expected to contribute to future growth in Namibia’s uranium sector.

Project Development Progress

During the quarter, Deep Yellow advanced multiple workstreams aimed at reducing project risk and preparing for construction activities.

  • Detailed engineering reached 68% completion.
  • Bulk earthworks progressed to 91% completion.
  • Civil construction is expected to commence during the next quarter.
  • Tendering was completed for 79% of major process plant equipment packages.

These achievements represent important steps toward project execution and demonstrate continued momentum in advancing one of Namibia’s next-generation uranium mines.

Exploration Success at Tinkas Prospect

Alongside development activities at Tumas, Deep Yellow continued exploration efforts within the broader project area.

Exploration drilling at the Tinkas Prospect, located north-west of Tumas, was completed in mid-March 2026. The programme comprised 133 drill holes for a total of 1,363 metres.

According to the company, results continue to demonstrate the potential to add further value within the broader Tumas district and support future resource growth opportunities.

Supporting Namibia’s Uranium Future

As global demand for uranium continues to strengthen, projects such as Tumas are expected to play an increasingly important role in supporting Namibia’s position as one of the world’s leading uranium-producing nations.

The continued advancement of engineering, procurement and site preparation activities highlights the progress being made towards bringing the Tumas Project into production and contributing to economic growth, employment and investment in Namibia’s mining sector.

With engineering nearing 70% completion and construction activities drawing closer, the Tumas Project continues to move steadily towards becoming Namibia’s next major uranium operation.
