Namdeb’s operations are located within the Tsau //Kaeb (Sperrgebiet National Park), adjacent to the Orange River and Namibian Islands Marine Protected Areas. Namdeb’s comprehensive rehabilitation programme addresses a hundred (100) year legacy of mining in the Tsau //Kaeb (Sperrgebiet) National Park.
n the 25 March 2024, Namdeb donated a previously-used vehicle to the Brown Hyena Research Project (BHRP). The donation will contribute significantly to the enhancement of continuous monitoring bs research endeavors in the Tsau //Khaeb (Sperrgebiet) National Park of the Brown Heyena.
Namdeb is proud to announce that Namibia’s first-ever battery-electric bus (E-bus) has arrived in Namibia. The arrival of the bus in Oranjemund aligns with Namdeb’s value of sustainability and the Company’s goal of becoming carbon neutral by 2030. Namdeb has undertaken to reduce its overall diesel and electricity consumption by improving the efficiency of its processes as part of accelerating its carbon neutrality journey. This commitment further contributes to realizing Namibia’s national effort of minimizing the negative impacts of society on the environment.
