At the AGM held on 21 April 2021, The outgoing President of the Chamber of Mines delivered his final President’s Report for 2020.
The report higlights the impact of Covid-19 on the mining sector in 2020, its contribution to the Namibian economy and concerning aspects of Namibia’s mining regime.

Announcement of Office Bearers for 2021 – 2023
The Chamber also Announced its new office bearers for the 2021 – 2012 at the AGM. The new Chamber of Mines Executive Committe is led by:
- President: Mr. Hilifa Mbako, Executive Chairperson of Orano Mining Namiba
- 1st Vice President: Mr. Irvinne Simataa, Vice President, Mining Operations, Swakop Uranium Namibia
- 2nd Vice President: Mr. Zebra Kasete, Vice President and Managing Director, Dundee Precious Metals Tsumeb.
