Langer Heinrich Uranium supporting health, safety and education in the community

Since returning to production activities at the end of March 2024, Langer Heinrich Uranium (LHU) has been actively engaged with stakeholders to better understand the needs of the communities in which it operates.

Guided by its commitment to providing meaningful support, LHU undertook various engagements during the first quarter of 2025, making contributions to strengthen community services and support local institutions including:

  • The Ministry of Health & Social Services received two fully equipped ambulances that will increase access to urgent medical care for local communities.
  • The Ministry of Home Affairs, Immigration Safety and Security, via the NAMPOL Erongo Regional Unit, received a Toyota Urban Cruiser, 20 bicycles, five computers and two printers to assist efforts in combating crime in the Erongo region.
  • The Municipality of Swakopmund’s Mondesa Library was equipped with 20 computers and two printers, enhancing access to information and technology and helping upskill the local community.

The contributions, which align with LHU’s Corporate Social Responsibility goals, have been warmly welcomed by the government and the broader community.
