The School Environment Clubs (SEC) Namibia successfully hosted the Primary Schools Quiz 2025 at Pioneerspark Primêre Skool (Parkies), bringing together 14 schools from the Khomas Region under the theme: “Protecting What Sustains Us: Food, Water, Environment, Energy and Life.”
The quiz, held in partnership with Namdeb Diamond Corporation (NAMDEB), Namibian Chamber of Environment (NCE), and Ministry of Education with refreshments sponsored by Namibia Diaries & Klein Windhoek Spar. With five learners representing each school, the competition aimed to enhance environmental literacy and empower the next generation with knowledge to safeguard Namibia’s natural resources.
In his keynote remarks, Mr. Riaan Burger, CEO of NAMDEB, emphasized the importance of caring not only for the environment but also for people, stressing that sustainable progress can only be achieved when communities value both ecological and human wellbeing. Ms. Ottilie Fillipus, Secretary General of NCE, encouraged learners to dream big, work actively toward their goals, keep learning in every way possible, value agriculture and the environment. The competition showcased remarkable talent, with the following schools taking top positions:
Mainstream Schools:
1. Suiderhof Primary School
2. People’s Primary School
3. Tobias Hainyeko Primary School
4. Delta School Windhoek
5. Pioneerspark Primary School
Resource Schools:

As part of our broader mission, SEC Namibia remains committed to empowering learners through educational initiatives that inspire environmental responsibility.
