RMR Enhances Infrastructure at Vrede Rede Primary School Swakopmund

Deep Yellow Limited, together with its subsidiary Reptile Mineral Resources and Exploration (Pty) Ltd (RMR), has reaffirmed its commitment to community development by undertaking critical maintenance work at Vrede Rede Primary School in Swakopmund to the value of N$61,631.31. This initiative aligns with the company’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) values, ensuring that learners have access to a safe and supportive educational environment.

Recognising that quality education is the foundation of a thriving community, RMR invested in improving the school’s infrastructure, including walkways and a sport field. These upgrades aim to create a safer learning environment, reduce the risk of injury, and promote physical health and wellness among the students.

“We believe in making a tangible difference in the communities where we operate,” said Dr Katrin Kärner, Exploration Manager at RMR. “By investing in Vrede Rede Primary School, we are not only improving infrastructure but also fostering a brighter future for these young learners. Both education and sport play a vital role in shaping communities, and we are proud to contribute to its advancement.”

The maintenance work, done by local supplier Thaleni Construction, focused on ensuring a safer school environment by repairing cement walkways between classrooms and the reconstruction of a sports field for netball and soccer, allowing learners to engage in physical education and extracurricular activities with confidence. Access to well-maintained sports facilities is crucial for students’ overall well-being, helping them build teamwork skills and encouraging a healthy lifestyle. p/>
