Rössing Uranium donates N$300,000 towards floods in the northern regions

Rossing donates to National Emergency Disaster Fund

Rössing Uranium donated N$300,000 towards the National Emergency Disaster Fund to assist vulnerable communities who have been impacted by the Efundja floods in the northern parts of Namibia.

As a responsible corporate citizen, Rössing Uranium responded to this situation, through the Ministry of Mines and Energy, by directly supporting the communities whose livelihoods have been devastated by the floods.

Rössing Uranium’s Managing Director, Johan Coetzee, said “we have been reading about the floods experienced in the northern regions as a business, and we felt that our support to these communities can help them to recover losses from the floods.”

“As a responsible business, Rössing Uranium will continue to support initiatives by the Namibian government to assist Namibians in need,” he said.

Mr. Coetzee handed over the donation to the Prime Minister, Honourable Saara Kuugongelwa-Amadhila.
