Rössing Uranium, together with its employees, officially handed over N$48,000 for infrastructure upgrades to the Michel Durocher Primary School in the //Karas Region. The school was approached by two Rössing Uranium employees to assess their needs. The mine approved the installation of window glass, painting of window frames, and the creation of a mural on one of the school walls. This donation is part of the mine’s Employee Community Project, an initiative aimed at involving its employees in community projects.

Rössing Uranium wins inter-mine safety competition

Rössing Uranium scooped the Chamber of Mines of Namibia’s Inter-Mine Safety Competition Award for operating mines (Division A) in the country. This was announced by the Chairperson, Health & Safety Committee, Barcelona Tsauses, on Wednesday, 30 August 2023, at the Chamber of Mines of Namibia’s Mining Expo and Conference.
