Growing up in the dusty streets of Katutura, a young and inquisitive boy dreamed of a future beyond the horizon. That boy was Harold Haoseb, whose journey from A.I. Steenkamp Primary School to Windhoek High School, and later the Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT), shaped his path to becoming a Vessel Master.

The Chamber of Mines is delighted to welcome Ruusa Nuusiku Kambonde as the newest member of our team. Ruusa, a dynamic young economist, joined the Chamber in early December 2024 and is now part the Economics unit.
2024 was a momentous year for Bannerman as construction commenced on-site at the Etango Uranium Project. The first two early works contracts approved for Etango – the construction water supply and site access road – were completed in July 2024; safely, on time and on budget.
B2Gold Namibia delivered a solid production performance during Q4 2024, producing 52,452 ounces of gold in line with our budget, with production coming from the open pit as well as the Wolfshag Underground Mine.
The recently updated resource estimate at Andrada’s flagship Uis mine strategically aligns with the Company’s long-term ambition to create a tin and lithium production hub in Namibia. By expanding the resource base, which is comprised of minerals critical to the energy transition, we continue to prove that Uis is a globally significant and strategically relevant source.
Omaruru residents and people living in surrounding areas now have better access to urgent medical care thanks to the donation of a new ambulance to the Omaruru District Hospital by Langer Heinrich Uranium (LHU) in December 2024.
